| "Crossings
Through Time" - is the video version of
an interactive presentation housed in the Navajo
Bridge Interpretive Center at Marble Canyon, Arizona.
The
presentation is a compilation of fourteen historical
segments about the difficulties and danger that
Native Americans, pioneers, and explorers faced
when trying to cross the great canyons of the
Colorado River before bridges were constructed.
Two of the segments highlight the construction
of the Historic and New Navajo bridges and their
effect on the lifestyles of the people in the
area. The program also provides information about
popular sight-seeing and recreational activities.
The
project, which took nearly a year to complete,
contains a number of authentic historical reenactments
involving wagon trains and horseback expeditions.
